Good nutrition over the weekend helps children return to school on Monday morning feeling well and ready to learn, instead of being sick, weak or unable to concentrate. Hunger puts kids at risk for health and development problems. Their ability to learn, grow and reach their potential is at risk without nourishment. Through the month of February, the Hankin Group has been hosting a food drive to benefit the Weekend Food Backpack Program by the Chester County Food Bank - looking to make a difference in the lives of hungry children in Chester County. The collected food will be used to build food backpacks monthly to help over 300 hungry school kids in our area.
If you would like to help, please bring in a food donation to any commercial building within the Eagleview business park (you'll notice the large brown boxes with the poster below attached) by February 29th, 2012.
