We invite you to a live performance in Town Center of Disney's Beauty & the Beast. The timeless classic will be performed by a gifted cast with Broadway-level talent from the SALT Performing Arts Theater in Yellow Springs.

Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature, the stage version will include captivating and choreographed songs, top-notch costumes and mesmerizing actors who will bring this timeless classic to life. The original Broadway production ran for over thirteen years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

Located in the Eagleview Town Center park, be sure to bring blankets and chairs along with a canned good for your “ticket” in.

about the leads:

Kim Whitehill (Belle) Kim is thrilled to make her SALT debut for Beauty & The Beat. She has dreamt of wearing the gold dress since she was a little girl! Credits include Next to Normal (Natalie), RENT (Mimi), Footloose (Ariel Moore), Spring Awakening (Wendla), and Singin’ in the Rain (Kathy Selden). Kim also sings throughout the Philadelphia area with The Graduates, a post-collegiate a cappella group. Many thanks to the wonderfully talented team who brought this magical show to life, and love to family and friends for their never-ending support.

Katrya Oransky-Petyk (Mrs. Potts) Katrya is seen most recently in a new favorite role as Dotty/Mrs Clackett in ”Noises Off”, is enchanted to be returning to the SALT stage once again. She has performed professionally in New York, Boston, Cleveland and Philadelphia area theatres. Go back far enough and you might have seen Katrya at the Bucks County Playhouse or at the now defunct Riverfront and City Line Dinner Theatres. Other favorite roles include Eva in “Evita” (Berea Summer Theatre), Charlotte in “A Little Night Music” (Kalliope Stage) Rizzo in “Grease” (Bucks County Playhouse).

He has been seen in various productions throughout PA as Danny Zuko in Vagabond Acting Troupe's Grease, Moritz Stiefel in Steel River Playhouse's Spring Awakening, Tommy Ross in EPAC's Carrie: the Musical and as a member of the epic ensemble of the Fulton Theater’s production of Les Miserables. He is also working towards earning his B.F.A. in Musical Theater at Temple University. He’d like to thank his family at home and his family at Temple for their love and amazing support.

Kurt Kunsch (Lumiere) Kurt A. Kunsch (Lumiere) is excited to be back on stage!  He first appeared at SALT in Disney's The Little Mermaid as "Scuttle" and at Forge Theatre in the role of "Big Josh" in Big the Musical.  He holds a BA in Theatre from Muhlenberg College and performs professionally as a vocalist and magician. Kurt lives in Chester County with his wife Kelly and three children Addison, Chloe and Daxon.  Kurt dedicates his performance to his family and late mother Jane.

Past theatre credits include: Christmas Spectacular (Performer), Heathers: The Musical (Ensemble), Next to Normal (Henry), Smokey Joe's Café (Performer), The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe (Edmund Pevensie), RENT (Ensemble/US), Disney's The Little Mermaid (Prince Eric), & Footloose (Ren McCormack), He is excited to be sharing the stage in this production with so many of his closest friends & having the opportunity to bring these beloved characters to life!
